Our story
After many years as a mechanic and then a firefighter, Ove Jensen decided to start his own business on 12 August 1946. With great diligence and very limited resources, the modest basement premises in Hedegade were expanded throughout the 1950s and 1960s with a workshop building in the garden. In 1971, five years after his son Jørn Jensen joined the company, Roskilde Galvanisering became a public limited company. A plot of land was purchased, and in 1972 the company moved to its current address on Ro’s Have, where a 1,300 m2 production hall had been built.
Jørn Jensen, who stepped down as director in 2022 and is still a co-owner of Roskilde Galvanisering, has over the years introduced the latest technology in galvanic surface treatment to the company.
This line has since been followed by the third generation, his son Christian, who has worked in the company since 1991, ensuring that we are equipped both technologically and environmentally to meet ever-increasing demands.
Christian took over as director after Jørn in 2022.
Jørn still has a regular presence at Roskilde Galvanisering.
